Butterflies are some of nature's most delicate fluttering creatures. So when they are captured with wings fully spread, relaxing on the soft pink petals of a flower and posing for a passing photographer in the Ecuadorian Amazon they must also be granted a moment of fame on Gadling. This POTD was taken by fiznatty and several other beautiful butterflies and creepy crawlers from Ecuador can be found in the Gadling Flickr pool.

I have been invited to meet with an account in Quito, Ecuador in August...I have been to Europe and Russia (several times) and was not anxious or concerned in anyway, but must say I am a little apprehensive in this plan. I want to take my wife with me, as she is very anxious about it, can any one tell me that it is safe or otherwise..? and any other bits of information that may be helpful..? Thanks

Sorry to report back and so late at that, but I haven't much extra information on this area of the world. Hopefully the other Gadling readers will be able to help out.
