Great articles, are there any more after part 2? I am currently working in Haiti and the food has been a real revelation, I love it! And precisely two of the things mentioned here - picklese (spicy and delicious!) and lambi, and I don't normally like shellfish much. I made the same mistake once though, trying lambi another way than in a creole sauce. Grilled or fried its rubbery tough, but in a Creole sauce, its absolutely delicious. I also love some of the savoury snacks, particularly 'accra' which are made of grated cassava (i think).
Haven't made it to Jacmel yet, alas, and don't know what sort of state its in post-earthquake. Any good restaurants serving local food the author can recommend in Port-au-Prince area?
