Everest Base Camp Trek - 14 Days
Everest Base Camp trek is one of the most popular choices of almost all trekkers. If you wish to experience the close up and magnificent vista of the highest mountain peak in the world, Mt Everest, this is the ideal trek for you.
The Everest Base Camp trek trail leads you on a mesmerizing passage through the famous Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar and culturally rich Tengboche monastery, all the while relishing the breathtaking sights of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse and numerous other snow clad peaks.
The Everest Base Camp trek is famous for the magnificent view of Himalaya, and not forgetting to mention, the unique and incredible experience in leading you to follow the footpaths of Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing in climbing up further to the summit.
Most people choose to fly to Lukla to start the Everest Base Camp trek. For some trekkers and mountaineers, the experience of landing at Lukla airport is the most interesting, challenging and nerve cracking. However, it is advisable to take the trek from Jiri if you have time, as it allows the body to acclimatize gradually. This classic route takes approximately 3 weeks and moves from the predominantly Hindu lowlands to the Tibetan Buddhist High Himalaya. The route involves many ascents and descents, therefore to enjoy the trek, you must be really fit and not forgetting to have ample time for the acclimatization.
