The World's Most Versatile Travel Chopsticks
Tripstixx claim to be the world's "most versatile collapsible chopsticks." Compact and hygienic, the sleek, globe-trotting ensemble includes two handles that are interchangeable with two separate styles of tips: sushi (pointed) and banquet (rounded).
These eco-friendly chopsticks are made from reusable, high-density polycarbonate, which means no trees were harmed in their production -- and you can pack them in your carry-on without any worries. One complete set, which includes a carrying case, runs $15.

"eco-friendly"? You must be kidding.. since when is plastic (that's what polycarbonate is; http://www.pslc.ws/mactest/pc.htm) friendly to the environment? Or maybe you mean "economic-friendly"...
And just to really make you think, here's a link about plastic & the environment: http://www.ecologycenter.org/iptf/

Florentin, I get your point about plastic being harmful to the environment. However, the point is that *in the long run* plastic chopsticks are a more sustainable alternative. Instead of China chopping down in excess of 25 million trees each year to make single-use chopsticks (http://news.independent.co.uk/environment/article353803.ece), plastic chopsticks destroy no forests and can be used almost indefinitely.
To combat deforestation, in recent years, China has tried taxing (http://www.progress.org/2006/chop01.htm) and banning (http://forests.org/archive/asia/shbanson.htm) one-off wooden chopsticks.
Clearly, China would support Tripstixx.
