Make A Paper "Throwaway Wallet"
Some people like to travel with a throwaway wallet, so that if they're mugged, they can give the mugger something and escape quickly without losing all their cash and valuables. Why spend money on a pleather throwaway wallet, when you can make one for free?
Instructables has an excellent 8-step how-to on making a paper wallet. Capable of holding "tons of cash, 4 easily accessible credit cards, and 2-4 more 'locked' credit cards," a paper wallet also has the obvious advantage on being scribble-on-able, so you can easily jot down directions to the hotel, the phone number for the cab company, or an address.

Hi,
If you like the paper wallet, come check out all of the other wallets from our DIY Wallet Challenge:

Also, we are giving away a laser cutter. I know you can't travel with a laser cutter, but you can sure make luggage tags. You may want to check that out here:

I'm with you. I really liked that instructables post and made a paper wallet right away. I decided I wanted it to be a little more personal though so I made a pdf generator that allows you to upload pictures and input text on any face of the wallet - soon it'll allow for barcodes as well (so you can put your shopper's club codes on there).

Anyway, I thought you'd enjoy it.
