I always found that to be the issue when sleeping on planes: you try to "slouch" as much as possible to get more horizontal, but the result is less surface area to distribute your weight over, causing sore spots on your butt.
The trick is to use those newer movable headrests to "lock-in" your head and to sleep as vertically as possible to put more weight on your legs and rear.
