If you've done a lot of traveling, you know how much of a pain it can be to charge your electronics. I've been in situations where even having the correct voltage and adapter doesn't help -- the plug is either non-existent, or located half-way up a wall leaving my camera to dangle dangerously above the ground, if the plug can support its weight in the first place. For this situation, I found the perfect tool. It's called the
Load-ding, and it acts as a hammock to keep your small electronics from falling to their death while hanging from oddly-placed outlets.
Even if you're not traveling, you can use the Load-thing to keep your gadgets off the ground while they charge.
The
website is in German and lists the Load-ding for 9.90EUR, or about $13 USD.

Neato! Why didn't I think of that?

That is really awesome. And it is a really nice design as well. I'd love to see larger ones for multiple charging - two phones and a digital camera, or multiple cameras. I'd also like to see it as a larger shelf unit for permanent mounting.... like in a bathroom! It would be perfect for items you wanted to keep away from a sink surface.

I agree that this is a great idea, but I have to ask #2, why don't you just install a real shelf in your bathroom. From what I hear those are pretty permanent.

It looks like it could also serve as a bird feeder haha. Although birds may thing its a huge beak.

simple, yet functional :-)
However i think $13 may be a bit steep.

@ Steven
Sorry but $13 is pretty darn cheap. Now if the shipping knocks it up to $50 that's a prob.
The only caviat to this is that the plug must be able to hold the weight of the hammock itself.
And, it will be completely obsolete once wireless power hits the market.

Now that's technology. The hammock well, that's right, it's just an invention.

I just made one out of an 8.5x11 sheet of paper and some tape.

this would be a great temporary addition, especially for those of us who live in apts where you can just go changing outlet locations or installing shelves.
