Don't bother with 'traditional' money belts - muggers know all about them and will check.
I use a regular belt that has a zip on the inside - you can roll up money and hide it in there, and from the outside it looks like a ordinary belt. It's a hassle to get off - a mugger probably won't take the time, even if he thinks you're wearing one.
