Former truck driver Barry Stiefel of San Francisco, California had a week’s vacation time at his office job and decided he wanted to use that week to visit all 50 states, Alaska and Hawaii too. It’s a lot of driving, no doubt…but for a man with a mission, it’s executed quite well. Just look at the route he took above — there was a lot of planning involved. Total cost for the trip, plane tickets to Alaska and Hawaii included: “about $2,750, or about $55 per state.” Maybe not the most relaxing trip, but to each his own.
He also did 21 states in one day on another trip. Wow.
