What Are the Best Irish Drinking Songs?

St. Patrick’s day is right around the corner. On Saturday morning I’ll be heading to Kansas City for the big party in Westport, where I’ll imbibe on some tasty green beers at Kelly’s, no doubt. I’m not Irish, but that won’t stop me from pickling my liver like the best of them. In order to not look like a fool when the songs are sung and jigs are danced, I found this Ask Metafilter question looking for the best Irish drinking songs so I can practice before I leave. The community came up with a TON to choose from, but this one is my favorite, short and sweet:

They come over here
And they take all our land
They chop off our heads
And they boil them in oil
Our children are leaving
And we have no heads
We drink and we sing
And we drink and we die
