PINK Flamigo? most sexy resort? BAH! As a friend who recently visited the Flamigo and he told another friend where he was staying?: the Flamigo, he replied in horror: "Don't do that to yourself!"
3500 rooms, several maids, 250 non-delivered refrids, and rude lying front office.
First they want you to pay extra for a GO room on the strip, which we did, but, the NEWLY remodeled room didn't have A/C. They found the motor for it on the ledge above the crawl space in the bathroom. So, we lost the strip view, got put back in the OLD part of the HOTEL, the carpets are enough to make you lose your dinner, and we paid extra to boot because they said our room with A/C was larger. @@@@@@!@!!!!!!!!! By the way, we NEVER did get our refrid which was ordered when I made the reservations a month earlier!
The "several" maids that clean the rooms (a word from ours who forgot our room altogether one day) said that the "lady" decided to fire alot of the maids, so there aren't enough of us to do the rooms each day. It is very hard she said.
The NEW OLD room with A/C sounded like a 767 taking off when on HIGH. WE had to put it on low to sleep because of the noise. Each day we called about our refrid we were told we were on the list and number 14, then the next morning we were 20???? Then they stopped giving us a number altogether; the last time I asked the man when it was to be delivered he hung up on me!!!!
They further told me that the first night was to be comped because of the 88 degree temp. we were forced to sleep in. They didn't do that ; just ask and I will send you the email from the "manager in training" (no joke).
The POOL---oh , well, it closes at 8PM,,that's right , when you feel like the heat is gone, so is your pool. And if you don't want to swim in PEE from the KIDS, then you can go to the ADULT POOL, tops optional. Great , but you have to pay $ 10.00 each time you go. Swimming laps is hard to do when some man is moving his topless wife (?) around on a floatation device in front of you. ( a friend told me that story) . NO, I didn't spend the money, I was already paying $ 15.00 to park each day, $12.99 for my internet connection. And to lastly my meds went bad from no refrid. (They said that medical requests were a prority!) I am SO very glad that my injectibles were only vitamins for my tiredness and not some LIFE sustaining unstable injectable! I'd be dead!
Anyway,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,as I was told and you have been warned : Don't do that to yourself!
You might as well stay off the strip in a one level plastic curtain motel!
I would recommend the Paris, Bellagio, Venitian , or the Wynn, OH, and of course Caesars.
Good luck or : "its a lucky day at the Flamigo" LOL BS!

Hi,
just wanted to clarify you are not talking about the Pink Flamingo in Port Douglas, Australia! www.pinkflamingo.com.au this is a gorgeous, small, intimate boutique resort and it sounds like you should have stayed there! Hope to see you in the future! Gigi, Pink Flamingo Resort Port Douglas
