Futuristic Travel Toothbrush Cleaner

We've posted a few times before about how to travel with a toothbrush without getting it all yucked up with germs and other nasty surprises.

I was rather pleased with the Antibacterial Toothbrush Cap I learned about a few months ago, but now this nifty device has been greatly overshadowed with the latest gizmo I came across in the trusty Hammacher Schlemmer catalogue.

The Million-Germ-Eliminating Travel Toothbrush Sanitizer is a little battery-powered doohickey which zaps toothbrush germs with "germicidal UV technology." It claims to eliminate 99% of germs one might find on their toothbrush, thus returning good oral hygiene to the travel world.

The 1% of germs not eliminated by the UV blast, however, will probably mutate into some type of irradiated super-strain of flesh-eating bacteria that will start by consuming your teeth and gums and then eventually move on to your entire head. I think that's a risk I'm willing to take, however; one can never over-emphasize the benefits of good oral hygiene!
