Dieters Slow New York's Subway

Too many dieters are slowing down New York's subway system.

One would think that too many overeaters would slow down the mass of people trying to squeeze through America's busiest underground system, but according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), dieters who pass out from malnutrition are a main cause of subway delays.

Maintenance on the track and problems with signals are the most common reasons for delay, but number three on the list is "Sick Customers." Although "sick customers" cover a range of ailments, comatose dieters are at the top of that list according to the MTA.
