iPod Specs to Tune Out With

Now you can tune out the entire world, not just the auditory world. Coming in January, you'll be able to buy, for $299, Icuiti AV230 Video Display Glasses, aka iWear.

You wear these glasses and plug them into your portable DVD player or video iPod. Sound comes through built-in headphones. Big deal, you say? Well, the video experience is supposed to be equivalent to watching a 44-inch TV from nine feet away. And no need to wear your glasses or contacts, since focus can be adjusted in each eyepiece independently. Battery life is a full five hours.

Wow, I can't wait for iPod video walking tours (white cane included)! Or, how about iPod video driving tours! With these, you could miss your entire vacation!
