Holly is correct on both counts. The proper verbage would be "His and his wife's". Think people and this is simple terms...you would not say "HE missing a day" you would say "HIS missing a day." Secondly, every Joe Donut thinks they are a writer because they blog.. Well if you want to share your written thoughts, stop emasculating the written word. I write and have a website and publish my writing, but I do not claim to be a grammar perfectionist, so I do not blog. I count on my editors to correct my mistakes first.
