Park Size Graphic
An interesting graphic from Park Remark about the various sizes of several National Parks. It's a bit odd, but the point being that the circles' size shows the likelihood that an acre in the Park System will be in a particular park. Fairly obvious that St. Elias gets the biggest circle, followed by Denali, Glacier bay and Yellowstone. Or maybe it's not so obvious since most people can probably only name four or five parks and most would say Yellowstone is the largest.

Under the Bush Administration, expect nothing ! We would be lucky if
the goverment let's us keep what we have. Bush & Cheney never saw a National Park that they liked...unless it was privatized!

Hello Erik/Gadling,
I created this graphic during the summer, after I had been somewhat inspired by a similar looking graph which appeared in the August '06 edition of National Geographic. The Geographic graph had to do with your odds of dying from any particular cause (cancer to firework accident). I thought it would be interesting to apply the same graphical treatment to National Park related numbers. I'm glad to read that you found it of interest! Thanks.
