Utah Red Rock Video
Not that you needed a reason to go to Utah to experience it's jaw-gaping beauty. Most Americans, ad certainly most gadling readers, are aware that Utah is probably the best place in the country, and perhaps on earth, to go mountain biking and skiing. Nothing I've ever experienced beats Utah powder. But take a look as this finely done (albeit a little muddy, thanks to the Google codec) video from America's Redrock Wilderness. The color of stone there, shot during the golden hour, of course, is out of this world, almost as if it was shot on Mars. It was shot in wide screen and narrated by Robert Redford, so pull the corner of your browser out a bit and enjoy.

I gotta chime in on this one. I was at the premier of this video during the annual SUWA event. I was so taken by the quality of the film (as seen on a cinema screen) that I told them they need to put the video on YouTube or Google so that I could blog it.
Surprisingly they hadn't even considered that. "What a great idea. I wonder if that would be hard to do?" they responded. I prodded a bit with a "here's why" e-mail and they made it happen. So I posted it on the blog I manage.

I'm so stoked to see this video getting some play here . Gives me the warm fuzzies to know I had a hand in pushing the word along.
