After reading the article about being an Ugly American, I wanted to laugh!!!! Obviously, the person who wrote this doesn't live anywhere near vacation sites in America.
I live in Central Florida, the vacation capital of the world!!! The 10 things he stated that we should know when we go abroad are trivial compared to how international tourists act over here.
Please, I guess the worst thing I ever witnessed (with my young children at the time) was a 9 or 10 year old girl deficating in front of Wet n' Wild on the side of the walk way. She didn't have a top on, only a bikini bottom, so we all assumed she was not from America.
Please do an article on the dos and donts of International tourists visiting us. We can't hold a candle to them when it comes to 1. not speaking the language, 2. tipping poorly or not at all, 3. Demeaning people at tourist sites who are working there for their enjoyment, 4. Renting cars and driving like idiots all over Interstate 5., dressing in the most ridiculous clothes that any Floridian wouldn't be caught dead in.,etc, etc.
I could go on and on but I think I have made my point.
