Cell Phones on Your Cruise?

Caught this over at Engadget Mobile and am not sure what my take is on the subject.

They report that Carnival Cruise Lines recently announced a partnership with Wireless Maritime Services to install cellular networks across its entire 21-ship fleet. The effort is part of a joint venture between Cingular and Maritime Telecommunications Network. Now never mind the gritty details of the effort, which Engadget Mobile talks about, what about the mere idea of having cellular access while your taking a cruise? Do we really want hordes of chatty Cathy's running about on the decks talking on their phones? Marketing guy Bob doing deals while you're enjoying the sunset? Or maybe you'd like to be able to call the kids or mom and dad or your friends and say, I'm watching the sunset!
