How to travel like a billionaire

Forbes.com has a great article describing what it takes to travel like a billionaire.  According to the piece, travelling like Bill Gates or Richard Branson isn't only about staying in the best hotel suites or eating at the finest restaurants -- it's also about just travelling better.  I can't tell you how happy I was to read this -- after all, I thought, perhaps if I don't have enough money to buy the stuff, perhaps I have enough to buy the convenience.  And so I read on.

To travel like a billionaire, it turns out, all I need is:
  • An American Express Centurion Card -- although, unfortunately, in order to qualify I have to have (a) an annual spend-level of US$ 250,000, and (b) an invitation from American Express to actually apply.  However, if I get both of those, I just need to come up with another US$2,500 for the membership fee, which will get me a personal concierge service when I travel.

Hmm.

I also need, apparently,
  • a private plane; and
  • access to Fischer Travel, who, for a mere US$50,000 initiation fee (and an additional US$10,000 annual fee), can ensure that I can get last-minute reservations at a Four Season resort.  Of course, Fischer's number is unlisted, so unless I know someone who knows someone, chances are I'm not going to get in.
Well.

Looks like I'll be continuing to eat peanuts in the back of the economy section after all.
