Hotel Manager Arrested in Tulsa

Interesting story of a hotel manager in Tulsa who was arrested for not turning over a guest record (names and addresses) of everyone staying in the hotel that evening to police. The police had been tipped off on some apparent drug activity going on in one of the rooms and inquired about the guests staying in an non-existent room number. A little uncomfortable with the police requests Charity Gugello, who runs the Renaissance Tulsa Hotel left the front desk with register in tow to get approval from senior management. She also refused to provide information about herself so the cops could write a citation which led to her arrest. It’s okay for police to request such information in Tulsa and Gugello violated the inspections-of-records law. Even though police showed her a copy of the law she still felt the request was unusual considering the circumstances. In the end the hotel paid her bail and further explained the situation and how similar ones in the past had been handled.

Had there been drug activity going on that evening the folks involved sure got lucky.
