Yes this site is very interesting. In addition to Culture, Media and Photos it should be listed under Learning, Ukraine, History and Europe. The video clips download for me and play in Real Player 10. I joined the MSN group to learn move from the author about Bystiv. I particularly liked the 35 minutes Christmas Day video since it shows the local people so naturally joyful and is unstaged. I would really like to go and stay there for a month to be part of the rituals and cycles of village daily life in Western Ukraine. The video clips give me such a view of Bystiv that I can smell the fresh bread baking and feel the moist earth.
Navigating the site to find the link to the Video Gallery and 18 major video clips is definitely worth the effort. There are also 18 smaller clips in the left hand column. They are put together in such as way as to be used to learn how to survive there.
For me they are all such a culture shock and a return to my heritage. As you can see I am a fan of this new website and its contents. Time has moved on but only in the big cities. I hope that you get the video clips to work for you.
