Urban Adventures

Do
you consider yourself an “adventurer” but feel guilty about that 4-wheel drive SUV you own that has never
seen mud or ventured outside of the city?  Well now you can bring the adventure to you.

The Guardian has come up with a list of 20 urban adventures in cities around the
world that aren’t much more than a subway stop away. Most are the quintessential example of outfitters
recognizing a need and fulfilling it by making activities that are normally inconvenient, much much easier to do.

For example, instead of flying to Norway, Londoners can head down to the ice rink at Somerset House where a 26-foot
high column of vertical ice awaits urban ice climbers.  The article also covers skiing in Detroit, caving in
Budapest, hiking in Los Angeles, kayaking in Manhattan, BASE jumping in Auckland, and plenty more.

So, climb on board the urban adventure trend; your local car wash will never believe what you’ve just been
doing.
