I routinely drive by the Pinal Air Park featured in this story (off I-10) near Tucson and being an airline enthusiast I have tried to get a better look by driving closer than I-10. Unfortunately you really can't see very much from outside the park due to a dip in the road.
A much better place to view old moth-balled planes is the Phoenix-Goodyear Municipal Airport.
