I'm always thumbing through Taschen's thick glossies when roaming through bookstores. There are so many, so it's easy
to see how I missed this one. But glad I finally stumbled across it online. This is a guide to "the places you
must see in your lifetime" and it shows them off in spectacular style. Besides the fantastic color photos and
maps, the atlas includes inspirational tips and quotes from travellers and explorers of the past -
names like Marco Polo, Freya Stark, Dervla Murphy and Laurie Lee. This 224 softcover is a sturdy guide that can
actually take you places just by holding it...you don't even have to be traveling to be swept away by these
photos!
