Nat Geo's Swimsuits: 100 Years of Pictures

David Doubilet photo All this seems out of place, wrong, confusing, and mixed up for the winter season, I know. I'll try to promise not to post too many more swim pieces, stories or photos until the summer. It's just Nat Geo had this cool issue from sometime ago featuring a collection of photos exploring swimsuits 100 years back to the present. The collectors edition can be purchased online at $7.95 for member and $9.95 for non-member which will give you the full swimsuit photo experience featuring not only attire, but locations and water activities. This photo taken by David Doubilet found in the online collection was taken in 1991 on a beach near Broome, Australia. Though one can't really detect the bathing suit, the pearls look lovely and the overall feel is quite peaceful.
