New Years is Here...Somewhere
We're counting down to the New Year here in New York, but across the globe they're
already celebrating and filling out their checks with 2006. In Britain, the New Year celebrations have been
rowdy, despite rain and a tube strike...which sounds awfully familiar to we folk in New York. In Sydney, they kicked it off Aussie style in Sydney (our
recent CityScapes city) with fireworks and much hullaballoo
(which also happens to be a town in Northern Australia). And in Paris, it
looks like things ent off with out too much of a hitch...if by hitch you mean angry, disaffected people burning cars.
So we're just a few hours away on this coast. Time to start boozing it up...or at least jotting down those resolutions. Tick tock. Tick tock.
