Find Love in Oh Six

City of God PosterOkie dokie, before I point you to some hook-up hot-spots for both men and women, let me provide you all with a disclaimer. In no way, shape or form am I suggesting any of you become whore mongers on your global field trips and if you do and it all goes wrong, remember I found this piece on the age dot com. The reason I'm supplying this now and not before V-day which is right around the corner (lovey-dovey cards are already on the shelves) is due to last minute New Year's resolutions being made. Yes, you will in fact find love in 2006. Some will get married, move overseas and gain unpronounceable last names. Others will just forget them.

Your guide for love in all the right places can be found by clicking here. The Age has done their homework well and the four page article has a lot of stats and recommendations on places for any single traveler to journey to in various categories. But keeping to my promise I will skip to the good stuff and list the hot hook-up locales.

For the women:

  • Lisdoonvarna, Ireland - Visit during September when they have the annual Matchmaking Festival. 75% attendees are men.
  • Anchorage, Alaska - a.k.a Manchorage. Any more questions?
  • Silicon Valley, USA - Single men outnumber single women by 5,500.
For the men:

  • Italy - Where in Italy? Anywhere. Thank the romance novels.
  • St. Croix, Virgin Islands, Caribbean - 54% resident female population and thousands of visiting bachelorettes.
  • Buenos Aries, Argentina - Can we say TANG-OH?
