Voucher Hell

OK, so you gave up your flight or maybe the airline is somehow trying to kiss your butt and you ended up with a big ol voucher. You figure that's as good as cash, right? Wrong. According to this LA Times piece, pparently airlines give away these things and they can be addled with restrictions. You don't know when, exactly, you can fly and/or whether you can let someone borrow it. There are all sorts of questions you need to ask, and the article helps you ask them. Sure, you figure these things are like gold ,right? After all, the airline is trying to keep you as a customer, right? Well, these folks aren't stupid. You think they don't have lawyers galore working on ways to pinch a penny? Trust me.
