My wife wants me to mention that although Key West is extremeley dog-friendly (almost TOO friendly, as we're stopped frequently by people enamored with our dog!), the health inspector has recently cracked down on people bringing their dogs into restaurants -- even open-air, outdoor establishments. Previously, this had been no problem, but if you're interested in bringing your pooch to the island, it's cool, but you may need to leave him at home during meal times.
Also, I'd be interested in hearing about some more "off the beaten track" Key West ideas. So if you have any, please head over to Divester and leave them in the comments section (http://www.divester.com/2005/12/02/what-to-do-in-key-west-when-you-cant-dive/). Thanks!
