Dog Sledding Michigan
It has always been a winter fantasy of mine to cry out, "mush, mush" while being pulled by a team
of dogs through the snow. What better way to spend time with man's best friend than on
the trail, going nowhere in particular? The
state of
Michigan has some pretty good dog sledding adventures if you too share the same fantasy and wish to live
it. Nature's Kennel offers two-day beginner and
five-day extreme sled dog adventures. Personalized rides and tours are available and you can even set up a
winter camp and spend a night on the trail with the dogs. Other tour companies include
Superior Dog Sleds in Chatham and
Whispering Paws Dogsled Tours in Paradise. Mark your
calendar for February 3 & 4, 2006 for the
Annual
Mackinaw Mush. They'll have a mini-musher program for the kiddies. Now isn't that precious?
