I worked with John Harlin III at Backpacker Magazine. He is a real nice guy, excellent climber, and a good writer. I will certainly check out the IMAX movie that is being produced about his return to the mountain that took the life of his father 40 years ago.

We went climbing at a rock gym in Pennsylvania and it was pretty funny to see the reaction of the gym employees when they found out that John was the son of THE John Harlin II that was killed on the Eiger.
