True Life Travel: Casting Call
True Life takes on Travel — the voyeuristic MTV reality show is looking to ruin your vacation — by following you and your friends everywhere! (Contain your excitement, please.)
That's right, the word is out — in all the
important places, of course — that
MTV wants to document a variety of wild winter travels. True Life will showcase three folks on "...vacation adventures
that will change their life, relationships, friendships forever." The show can feature a group or couple, and will
shoot pre and post trip footage, as well as the entire vacation, thus making it not much of a vacation now, right?
If you're still considering this, hurry up and apply — production is set to begin ASAP, and is tentatively scheduled
to air in Spring 2006. Oh, and I noticed something kinda funny about the age requirement —
look at the wording MTV uses on their website — take note of the bold:
If you appear to be between the ages of 18 and 28 and both you and your travel companions are
willing to let us follow you for the entire trip, e-mail
vacation@mtvstaff.com and tell us your itinerary.
People say I look younger than I am all the time — but I think I'll pass. Any takers to have your trip
twisted by reality TV?
