Paris, Paris: Book, Event & Tours
The Alliance Françoise de Washington French Language and Cultural Center will host author and journalist David Downie on Wednesday, October 12 at 6:30 pm. Downie will sign copies of his new book Paris, Paris: A Journey Into the City of Light after a slideshow lecture. The book is a collection of 30 essays Downie has written over the past twenty years, in his attempt to catch the "soul" of the city.
According to the Paris, Paris website, this appears to be the last confirmed book tour date. But here is something cool — the author/photographer team of Downie and Alison Harris are promoting personalized custom tours based on the chapters, stories and photos compiled in their book.
