Budget Travel Miami Podcast
Another post on podcasting. It's pretty amazing how many people are getting into the game. We
mentioned the Budget Travel podcasts before. The last one they did on
Vegas was pretty good. It
nicely captured the spirit of the place, and offered interviews with lots of quirky local folk. They obviously put a
lot of production effort into these, with upbeat music and lots of nat sound (natural sound from the environment), and
they flow in a quirky, unstructured way that is actually pretty appealing.
This one takes us to Miami, the land of "pristine beaches, pulsating clubs and luxe boutiques" and also the place that for me brings to mind Scarface with Al Pacino (Make way for the bad guy!). They visit the beach and talk with the tan butler, that is the suntan lotion guy who recommends the ideal SPF for your tanning needs and a real estate preservationist (this one drags a bit). They're fun (even if the male host annoys me a bit), one of the better travel podcasts out there.
