The Global Trip: Live!

globalI hope the college students at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC choose to stop by their campus theater next Friday night before hitting the weekend party scene. Erik Trinidad, blogger, writer and world traveler extrordinaire, will be speaking at the University at 7 pm on the 16th.

Erik trekked around the world from October 2003 to March 2005 and gathered quite a following at his blog along the way. His Travel Vicariously post gives an in-depth summary of his trip with links to the best of his 500+ posts.

This is a lucky opportunity for the ECU kids. If I had heard a global traveler like Erik speak at my college, maybe I would have headed out earlier on my adventures, or have been sparked to focus on a particular area of international study. I'm sure Erik would appreciate any support from travelers in the Greenville area who can stop by to hear him speak about what he learned on his adventure. He says he's giving away free stuff too, bonus.
