Road Trip Alaska

globe and mail

I think most of us dream of the ultimate road trip. You quit your job, sell your belongings and head off with a girlfriend or boyfriend towards the distant horizon. Most of us don't get further than the driveway, but others, well, they do it.

And so it goes. Two editors at the Globe and Mail left their jobs, sold their stuff and headed into the wild blue yonder of Alaska. Of course, there is a story to tell. They are writers, after all. You can read initial dispatch to their old employer or listen to this audio essay of the trip. And of course, they have a Web site.
