Restaurant Magazine's Top 50
I once read about a guy who's goal in life was to travel to every
country in the world and to dine in its best restaurant. How he planned on getting into places like Congo, and where he
would find a restaurant there is beside the point. What the point is…well, I'm not sure exactly, but I think I wanted
to talk about the new rankings of the top 50 restaurants in the world that came out from
Restaurant Magazine.
The annual list is based on the magazine's canvassing of the 600 most influential restaurateurs, cooks (um, chefs), critics, and industry experts. Maybe it's just me, but there is a surprisingly high number of them from London and Great Britain, and I thought their rep for food was all neggy. What's up with that? Maybe it has something to do with the fact this is a British Magazine. Hmmm? Go to the next page for the list.
