Ybor City's Columbia Restaurant
For live flamenco entertainment and some of the best Spanish/Cuban dishes in Tampa's Historic
Ybor City the Columbia
Restaurant is undisputedly the best! What began in 1905 as a corner cafe hangout point
for local cigar workers has become one of Florida's oldest and the world's largest family owned Spanish
restaurants. Delicious family recipes like Paella "a
la Valenciana," Red Snapper "Alicante" Pompano en Papillot, Merluza "Russian Style" and Filet Mignon "Columbia" have
made the restaurant world famous. My personal favorite being, the Palomilla, a marinated top sirloin
decorated with fresh chopped onions, parsley and lime juice should not fail to be mentioned.
Taste the sangria, relish the paella, unwind and drift away to the clicking of the castanets as
flamenco dancers transform the dinner stage into something
like a Spanish Gypsy land.
