Peter Hughes Liveaboard disaster relatives interviewed

It’s old news but it’s still worth reading about. On October 8th, 2001 the Peter Hughes Liveaboard “Wave Dancer” was in Belize docked in a protected bay. At the urging of the local government, as Hurricane Iris blew into Belize, numerous liveaboard boats moved into the protected waters to ride out the storm. Unfortunately, the Wave Dancer flipped over in the storm, resulting in the death of 17 divers and three crew members. Virtually all of the relatives sued.
