Iceland Unbound

iceland

A teriffic story on Iceland from Worldhum by Jim Heintz, a Moscow-based correspondent for The Associated Press. Heintz says Iceland has always had a powerful mystique for him, and he travels there in the dead of winter to find out if the country measures up to his childhood expectations. From excruciating darkness to fjords to ice and steam, it's a great picture of a country that every traveler should visit once in his/her life.
